What can I say about the Toronto Marathon! I had been struggling with
my weight loss for some time. I had made a commitment in February to go
to Toronto and do a half marathon with several other ladies. As it
turned out there were eight of us who actually did the half marathon
together.
Steffi, Tania, Mindy, Cindy, Melinda, Karen, Wanda, Cassey
We sat around after the Pasta Dinner developing the relationships
that we know now will be life long friendships!

Here we are all ready to meet the challenge set before us!
Torben's challenge was to find Steffi instead of Mindy all over the city of Toronto!
I
had developed Plantar Fascia in my right foot about two or three weeks
before this event and wasn't even supposed to participate! But once I
got there I got caught up in the excitement of it all and decided to
walk with Wanda the whole distance...
Steffi and Torben were at the finish line waiting for us!
This
is one of the leisurely times we had in our room just talking about
everything and anything. Laurie was our constant companion although she
didn't participate in the half marathon, she is one of those forever
friends we made on this trip! And she WILL be doing the next half with
us!

One of the highlights for me was to be able to celebrate my birthday
with this wonderful group of people.
We went to the CN Tower for dinner and had a lovely view of the city while we ate.
Unbeknownst to me some of the ladies asked the waiter to bring me this special birthday dessert!
